Dr. Loria was born and raised in Fort Worth, and has been working in the dental field for over 25 years. She knew at a very young age that she wanted to become a dentist. As a young girl, she would often travel to Greece with her father where he conducted business. Her father’s cousin was a dentist and she would spend lots of time in his dental office during their summer visits. It was crystal-clear that he LOVED what he was doing; in fact, dentistry seemed more like a hobby for him than actual work. By the time she was 13, she knew that she was going to have the same career as an adult.

When Dr. Loria was in high school, she volunteered in a general dentist’s office but found the work extremely boring, not at all what she remembered from her uncle’s office in Greece. The dentist noticed this and explained the different specialties in the dental field, including pediatric dentistry. She ended up transitioning to the dental office of one of his friends, who was actually her own pediatric dentist while growing up! She volunteered there for a week but quickly ended up getting hired on as a dental assistant. She stayed at the practice for four years, jumping at any chance to care for all the wonderful patients. From that point on, her path forward as a pediatric dentist was set in stone.

After completing her biology degree with Summa Cum Laude honors from the University of Texas at Arlington, Dr. Loria graduated with her dental doctorate from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. She then completed her two-year Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. Today, she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a life-long student under some of the renowned leaders in the growth and development field. In fact, she’s completed over 100 hours of continuing education in the last year alone in the areas of pediatric airway, craniofacial development, frenectomies and frenuloplasties.

With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Loria Nahatis is proud to give her young patients and their parents valuable tools that help not only with improving dental health, but overall health and well-being too! She is dedicated to making a difference in every child she sees, working with a collaborative approach to oral health care. Working closely with children and their families, she can’t wait to welcome your family in soon.
